Stone Cat Painting

This is one of the paintings I like to call my stone cat paintings. A cat sitting or looking up from behind the stones Sometimes it's hard to tell where the cat is to the stones. It seems they are apart of each other.

Here the stone cat is waiting to see if the tree will fall. It may take some time. Only a cat can sit and look at one object for a time that seems like forever.

Blue River in Snow

This was one of my first winter paintings. I used white gouache to splatter the snow over the top of the painting. The Original artwork was sold. I have cards and other items for sale. Just use the link on the left.

Resting Kitty

I like to call this my "Christmas Kitty". It's a cat at rest between two pillows. I kept it simple so that it could be almost anybody's cat.

Different steps to a painting

Here you see different points where I stopped and took a picture. One of the big things you see, I like to start painting in Yellow, then work to the darker colors.

Geoff's Park

This is a 16 x 20 watercolor. This painting allowed me to try few new things. I used a natural sponge to create the foliage. To make the sprinkle of dots, I also used a combination of tapping a fan brush and using the toothbrush. It’s called Geoff's Park for I wrote that on the posts in front. It is written in Japanese Hiragana.

Mountain Pass

This is a 16 x 20 watercolor. I used the back of the brush to create the harsh lines coming down the mountains.
